Mr Wright specialises in the management of children with Cerebral Palsy and Neuromuscular Disorders  


Brief Biography

Mr. Wright qualified in 1999 from the University of Liverpool Medical School. He continued his higher surgical training in orthopaedics in Merseyside. He completed an international fellowship at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Canada before starting his consultancy at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in 2011.

Mr Wright’s specialist interest is in the management of children with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. As part of this he is involved with gait analysis and interpretation as part of the North West Movement Analysis Centre. In addition he is the clinical lead for transitional care of patients with Cerebral Palsy in conjunction with Broadgreen Hospital , Liverpool.

Mr Wright organises the annual Instructional course in paediatric orthopaedics at Alder Hey as well as being a regular faculty member for the Mersey FRCS viva course and the Bristol Cadaver Course for Operative Techniques in Children’s Orthopaedics.

Mr Wright is an honorary senior lecturer for the University of Liverpool.
